Tax Pilot is live. Excited to share what we’ve been working on.

Someone who actually does the work.

Registrations, notices, amendments and the cleanup nobody else will touch. Hand us one piece or the whole function.

Four reasons people call.

01

You can’t hire the person you need.

Payroll tax expertise takes years to build, and the people who have it are retiring faster than they are replaced. Six months waiting for the right hire is six months of backlog waiting with you.

02

One person knows everything.

They are excellent, and they are a single point of failure. When they are out, work stops. When they leave, it’s worse.

03

You inherited a mess.

A conversion went badly, a prior provider left quarters unfiled, or a company arrived with three years of problems attached.

04

Tax isn’t the business you want to be in.

You would rather your team ran payroll and served clients than spent quarter end in agency portals.

The whole function, or one piece of it.

Have us run all of it alongside your team, or pick what you need from getting registered, ongoing work, cleanup and audits. Most people start with whichever piece is on fire.

Advisory and the platform are two offerings, not a bundle.

ADVISORY ONLY

Plenty of advisory clients never touch the software. They run payroll wherever they run it, and we handle tax operations around it.

PLATFORM ONLY

Plenty of platform customers never use advisory, because they have the team to run it themselves.

BOTH

Some do both, because it is convenient. None of it’s required.

Common questions.

Can you take just one piece?

Yes, and most engagements start that way, with an audit, a backlog or a set of registrations. Ongoing coverage is a decision you make afterward, not upfront.

Can you cover our tax function while we’re short-staffed?

Yes. Advisory can take one area, such as notices, while your team keeps filing, or run the day-to-day while you hire, grow or get through year end. Your team keeps the knowledge, the oversight and the sign-off, and we add capacity.

Do we have to use your software?

No. Advisory clients run on the payroll and tax systems they already have, and we work inside your tools and your process. The platform is a separate offering.

How is it priced?

Most work starts with a fixed-fee review that shows what is wrong. The cleanup after it is quoted before it starts, and ongoing coverage is a monthly retainer. You know the cost before work begins.

Who will we work with?

A named payroll tax lead who knows your accounts, with senior practitioners on complex notices. The same people stay on your account, so nobody is reading your history for the first time while a deadline runs.

Will you take a backlog another provider refused?

Usually yes. Multi-quarter unfiled returns and inherited messes are a significant part of what we do.

Do the companies we serve know you exist?

Only if you want them to. Some partners introduce us directly, and others keep us behind the scenes. Agencies will see us as your authorized administrator wherever we file for you, because that is how access works.

Who has access to our data?

Named people on our team, under access controls we can document.

Don’t take it from us.

“Tax Pilot took the headache out of registering our unemployment tax across multiple states. Responsive and thorough from start to finish.”

Tell us what is broken.

The first conversation is usually someone describing the mess. That is enough for us to say whether we can help, and roughly what it would take.
